ACFN has an operating housing committee, and all committee members are residence of Fort Chipewyan. The housing committee reviews all applications for housing and determines the applicants eligibility based on need. The housing committee also assists in the development and review of ACFN's housing policy.
The members on the housing committee are: Jessi Ann Laviolette, Janet Dashcavich, Julia Cardinal and Jonathan Mercredi.

ACFN is in the process of developing a housing policy. It is expected that a draft will be created in 2008.
Homeowner Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program — Homeowner RRAP
The Homeowner RRAP offers financial assistance to low-income households who own and occupy substandard housing to enable them to repair their dwellings to a minimum level of health and safety.

Moisture and Mold
Moisture and mold is a big problem plaguing first nation housing. Too much moisture in the air can lead to mold, and has been linked to respiratory problems for home occupants.
