The Fort Chipewyan Community Daycare is seeking to fill one (1) temporary full-time position of Summer Student Early Childhood Educator (ECE). Please note: ECE Level 1 certification/training will be provided to the successful student candidate; no experience necessary, and training will be provided. This role is local to Fort Chipewyan, AB; candidates must have their own accommodations and transportation. This temporary student role is expected to end on or before August 30, 2024. 

The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) is seeking one (1) ambitious Indigenous students (high school or post-secondary; college or university) to join Team ACFN for a full-time temporary position of Summer Student – Team Lead. This position consists of Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week. The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) is seeking to fill one full-time temporary position of Health and Prevention Advocate.  This temporary role is for a period of one (1) year, and with a possibility of an extension. The hours of work is 37.5 hours per week, and to meet operational requirements a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate events/ programs is required.

The position is local to Fort Chipewyan, AB., or Fort McMurray, AB., and candidates are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation. Reporting to the Social Worker and Development Manager, the Health and Prevention Advocate is responsible to provide administrative support and assists members to navigate the health and social service systems.

The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation is seeking to fill  one (1) full-time temporary position of Manager, Health and Wellness (MHW)for a period of one (1) year, and with the possibility of an extension.  This position consists of 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week. This position is local to Fort Chipewyan, AB., or Fort McMurray, AB., and the successful candidates must have their own transportation and accommodations.  Reporting to the Chief of Operation, the MHW is responsible to support innovation and improvement in Indigenous Health and to work towards health equity for Indigenous peoples and communities; address racism and focus more on determinants of health and prevention; advocacy, counselling, support, education and facilitation of traditional Indigenous wellness services to patients, families and health professionals; facilitates and provides education about respectful relationships and health care for Indigenous people.

The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) is seeking to fill one (1) full-time temporary position of Temporary Emergency Management Manager (EMM) for a period of one year and with the possibility of an extension. This temporary position consists of 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week. However, schedule and location may change from time to time to meet operational requirements. This is a local position to Fort Chipewyan, AB., and candidates must have their own accommodations and transportation. The EMM is responsible to support the Deputy(s) Director of Emergency Management to ensure community safety and resilience during emergency events by developing, implementing, and coordinating emergency plans. With a strategic focus and effective leadership, the EMM serves as the foundation for community preparedness, coordinating resources, collaborating with ACFN’s Emergency Management Committee, and providing guidance during an emergency event. The EMM is a key liaison during times of crisis, responsible for overseeing all emergency services and safeguarding the community through seamless coordination and strategic thinking.

The position consists of 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week. However, schedule and location may change from time to time to meet operational requirements. This is a local position to Fort McMurray, AB., or Fort Chipewyan, AB., and the successful candidate must have their own accommodations and transportation. The HRA is responsible to provide administrative support services to the HR department; staffing and recruitment; training and development; classification, etc.

The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) Is seeking one (1) full-time permanent position of Human Resources Advisor.  This position consists of 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week; schedule, hours and work location may change from time to time to meet operational requirements. This is a local position to Fort McMurray, AB., or Fort Chipewyan, AB., and the successful candidate must have their own accommodations and transportation. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Advisor is  responsible to provide HR advice, guidance and delivery of HR services to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of HR policies and programs in two core HR disciplines.

The K’ai Tailé Market is seeking to fill one (1) full-time position of Grocery/Stock Clerk. This permanent role consists of 5 days on, 2 days off; 7.5-hour days, and 37.5 hours per week. Willingness to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. The schedule may change from time to time to meet operational requirements. The role reports to the Grocery Floor Supervisor, and is responsible for maintaining merchandise; unpack and replenish merchandise; restocking shelves and product presentation. This is a local position to Fort Chipewyan, AB; and the successful candidate is responsible for their own accommodation and transportation. 

The K’ai Tailé Market (KTM) is seeking to fill one (1) part-time Janitor position; for up to 22.5 hours a
week; Monday to Friday; 7.5 hour days; and have a willingness to work variable shifts including evenings,
weekends, and holidays. The schedule may change from time to time to meet operational requirements.

The role reports to the Co-Manager and is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the KTM premises.
This is a local position to Fort Chipewyan, AB. Candidates are responsible for their own
